Step 1: Complete your One-Time Registration
Register with Illinois DocAssist by clicking the link above or by calling 866-986-2778.

Step 2: Start making service requests
Make a request online: After registering, use your personal online Service Request Page to request consultation or referral assistance at your convenience. Look for an email from docassistil@uic.edu with the subject “Illinois DocAssist (IDA) Service Request Page Link”.
Make a request by phone: To request a consultation or referral assistance by phone, call the Illinois DocAssist consultation phone line at 866-986-2778 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

Illinois DocAssist Service Agreement
Service agreement
By registering with the Illinois DocAssist Program, providers will have free access to the following:
1. Psychiatric consultations within one business day via telephone Monday-Fridays 9-5, excluding holidays (initial and follow-up consultations are provided).
2. Assistance with locating referrals for those patients who are considered beyond the scope of the school or primary care practice setting.
3. Clinical and program updates as well as educational resources through email communication from the Illinois DocAssist program (1-2 times per month).
By registering with the Illinois DocAssist Program users understand:
1. It is not an emergency service and does not provide emergency evaluations or referrals.
2. Consultations are educational in nature and users remain fully responsible for all clinical management decisions for patients.
3. Non-identifying patient demographic information will be collected to assist the program in providing the service. Information will be securely stored in a HIPAA-compliant system. Data shared with collaborators, funding agencies, or researchers will be de-identified and reported in aggregate.
4. Users can revoke their registration at any time by submitting a request in writing to docasssistil@uic.edu.
